Christina is currently dancing as a guest artist with Jazzdanz/dc and Jazzemotion, resident dance companies of Joy of Motion Dance Center in Washington, DC. In June 2010, Miss Christina performed on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center with Douglas Yeuell, Executive and Artistic Director of Joy of Motion and Artistic Director of Jazzdanz/dc. Also under the direction of Douglas Yeuell, Jazzemotion offers outreach performances for area nursing homes and senior centers and often appears in Performance Showcases at the Jack Guidone Theatre in Friendship Heights.
In October 2010, Christina appeared as Annie in Chicago with Kensington Arts Theatre. She was a featured dancer and also served as Assistant Choreographer and Dance Captain. In the fall of 2009, Christina performed in the classic Broadway Show West Side Story with Rockville Musical Theatre. She portrayed the role of Margarita, one of the Shark women, and was featured in many of the dance numbers in the show. Christina was a principal dancer with Metropolitan Ballet Theatre (MBT) in Rockville for 9 years. She appeared in The Nutcracker portraying many different roles, most significantly Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen. She has also danced as Spanish Chocolate, Arabian Coffee, Chinese Tea, French Marzipan, Mother Silberhaus, and as a snowflake. Christina also performed with MBT as Princess Kristina in The Firebird, the Autumn Fairy in Cinderella, as a lead swan in Swan Lake, and in Coppelia and Alice's Wonderland . In addition, Christina participated in a number of Outreach Programs with Metropolitan Ballet Theatre, including Athletics and the Dancer, a lecture/demonstration program. In June of 2003, Christina Prete danced as a guest artist with the Virginia Civic Ballet in Marshall, Virginia, playing the title role in Cinderella.
